In late 2013, Chef Lee Anne Wong uprooted from her hometown of NYC to move to sunny Oahu, Hawaii. There she partnered with Chef Kevin Hanney and opened up Koko Head Cafe in March of 2014, in the tiny space that Chef Hanney’s 12th Ave Grill had previously occupied. Specializing in locally sourced, creative brunch fare, Koko Head Cafe quickly became a community favorite, often with a line out the front door, and has received both local and national acclaim in print, online, and on television. In the 8 years since opening, Koko Head Cafe has proudly served over a million customers, and our entire team is thrilled to invite you to experience our next evolution; we’ve moved down the street, and we’ve got some delectable new moments awaiting you.

Our Mission

Koko Head Cafe is committed to supporting our partners, farmers, and producers through our locally sourced, sustainable menu. We make everything from scratch daily, in order to showcase the best our ‘aina has to offer. 


New Digs

 

In March of 2022, Koko Head Cafe moved down the street to a much larger space that once again had housed its sister restaurant, 12th Ave Grill. We’ve expanded our seating capacity, with both indoor and outdoor seating, featuring a full bar/counter, and also have multiple spaces that can be rented for private events and gatherings. Our entire team is excited for all of the new possibilities and delicious adventures ahead!

  • We do not take reservations however you can join our waitlist remotely using the link below on the day of.

    After clicking "join Waitlist" You will also be able to see a live snapshot of the wait time so you can plan accordingly. We are a brunch restaurant with one service from 7am to 2pm Wednesday through Monday. For parties of 6 or more the online waitlist registration will not work and you must call the restaurant the day of to get on the list. We look forward to hosting you.

  • Our new location has a covered outdoor seating area, perfect for enjoying brunch year round.

  • Our menu is made from scratch daily, with both vegetarian and vegan options. Guests with dietary restrictions should let their server know, and our kitchen will do our best to accommodate your request.

  • We are open for brunch everyday from 7am-2pm. Closed Tuesdays.

  • We are a dog friendly restaurant. Service animals may accompany guests indoors as long as they remain under the table. We also have a large outdoor seating area, perfect for brunching while you are out with your canine companion.

  • Guests wishing to order takeout may do so in person at the host stand.

    We only accept online orders on the week days.

  • Koko Head Cafe is located next to a municipal parking lot, & adjacent to a metered lot. There is metered street parking available as well.

  • Guests are sat on a first come first served basis. Guests may join our waitlist here

    Our expanded counter and bar area is perfect for small groups and solo diners.

  • Chef Wong currently resides in Maui. Chef Wong pops over to Oahu often to check in with the team at Koko Head Cafe, participate in events, and chug copious amounts of coffee at the end of the counter.
